The number of "giant unicycle" super-tank proposals always amused me. They all apparently were to rely on gyroscopes to keep them upright. From all indications, none of their designers ever considered the consequences of taking a hit from artillery, especially if it was the (large and spinning at tens of thousands of RPM) gyros that collected the packet.
